Feature Documentary
In
November 2004 an intrepid and committed independent film
maker and director, Marisol Torres, came to Forward
Operating Base (FOB), Camp Falcon, to make a movie about
soldiers serving in Iraq. Torres ended up with Task Force
1-21 and the result was a superb feature documentary about
the first free, democratic National Elections conducted in
Iraq.
This
feature documentary doesn't rely on glitz and sensationalism
or fast-paced, combat action footage to sensationalize
soldiers serving in Iraq. Interpreting Iraq shows
the day-to-day activities of an Army unit working the west
side of Baghdad preparing and supporting the Iraqi National
Elections in January 2005.
