This novel has it all. Love lost and love recaptured. World politics and intrigue with infusions of military language and understanding. The only problem: this story could have happened. Chaplain (Brig. Gen.) Ronald S. Gauss (AUS, Ret.)

A penetrating and fast-moving story that catapults us into the heavy realities of war, family and faith. I could hardly put it down and am ready for the next one! The book is instructive, inspiring, and exciting. The Rev. John Yates, Senior Pastor, The Falls Church (Anglican), Virginia

David Bena has written a book with many exciting and realistic twists and turns. His primary character, Zach Savage, is an outstanding representative of the Marine Corps and the USMC A-6 Intruder community. Col. Beaman Cummings (USMC, Ret.)

As a fighter pilot and combat veteran, Bena captures the essence of a young aviator's first combat and spiritual growth in a fast paced, exciting page-turner. Brig. Gen. Curtis H. Emery II (USAF, Ret.)

An enthralling tale of intrigue with a national security twist. I highly recommend it. Fred Barnes, The Weekly Standard

David John Bena flew 252 bombing missions during the Vietnam War as a bombardier-navigator in three USMC A-6A Intruder All Weather Attack squadrons, for which he received the Distinguished Flying Cross and 21 Strike Air Medals. After leaving the Marine Corps, Bena trained for ministry and served as an Air Force chaplain throughout the world, including the Middle East. Retiring from the U. S. Air Force at the rank of colonel in 1992, Bena served first as a parish priest and later was elected a bishop in the Episcopal Church. He now serves the Anglican Church.
